What is ReachDSM?
Reach Des Moines is a church-wide day of service where the entire Revision community spreads out around the city to partner with various non-profits that are committed to helping bring hope & healing to our world.
Why Do We Do It?
Part of helping people meet Jesus is following in his footsteps and living out his love. In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus says, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." Our desire is to pursue that mission. This means serving the city with our time, our abilities, and our resources. God is inviting us to be a part of writing a better story and a better future for those around us, and we are passionate about accepting that invitation and helping our community flourish.
When Is It?
Every time there are 5 Sundays in a month, we cancel our regular Sunday services on the 5th Sunday and send everyone out to Reach Des Moines. Our House Groups also regularly serve alongside our ReachDSM partners.
